Peppers 'The Louise'

Day One

You'll be greeted by your friendly host, John Baldwin in a modern Mercedes and enjoy a picturesque drive to McLaren Vale, famous for its Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Grenache, Shiraz and Vintage Port.  John will tailor the day's visits to you particular wine tastes and preferences.  The wineries may include Coriole Vineyards, Chapel Hill Winery, d'Arenberg Wines, Kay Bros. Amery Vineyard, Pirramimma Wines, Shottesbrooke Vineyards or Wirra Wirra Vineyards.  Other attractions may include olive oil, olives, local cheeses and wood aged vinegar tastings.  A 2-course gourmet lunch with wine is enjoyed at a local restaurant.  Set off to your luxury accommodation via the beautiful Adelaide Hills and arrive at your 5 star guesthouse, set among the vineyards, in the heart of the Barossa, arriving at approx 5pm.  Relax and unwind and enjoy a fine 3-course meal at your guesthouse tonight.  Your guesthouse 'The Louise' was named Australia's best luxury accommodation at the Australian Tourism Awards in February 2008.

Day Two

Enjoy a hearty cooked breakfast at your guesthouse before John's arrival at 9am to begin your day of wine touring in the beautiful Clare Valley, famous for its Riesling, Cabernet, Shiraz and Muscat.  Winery tastings may include Crabtree of Watervale, Grossett Wines, Jim Barry Wines, Mitchell Wines, Mount Horrocks Wines, Sevenhill Cellars, Skillogalee Wines, Taylors Wines or Tim Adams Wines to name a few.  A 2-course gourmet lunch with wine is enjoyed at Skillogalee Restaurant and afternoon tea at a local teahouse.  Return to your guesthouse at 5pm and relax before a fine 3-course meal at Appellation Restaurant.

Day Three

Enjoy another country-cooked breakfast before John's arrival at 9.30am in a classic 1962 Daimler, previously used in Royal Tours of the sixties, and you are off to discover the true jewel in the crown of Australian wine regions, the renowned Barossa Valley.  The Barossa is famous for its Eden Valley Riesling, Viognier, Adult Rose, Sparkling Shiraz, Grenache, Mataro and full-bodied Shiraz as well as world-class fortifieds.  A chance to meet the winemakers, enjoy the culture and history and be entertained by John's commentary and knowledge of this area.  Enjoy a 2-course lunch with wine at Cafe Y or Vintners.  Taste the wares of Maggie Beers Farm Shop for afternoon tea.  John will once again, choose wineries and attractions to suit your tastes.  You will also have the rare opportunity to taste 100-year-old fortified wine (liquid history) at historic Seppeltsfield before heading back to your Adelaide guesthouse or the Adelaide Airport.

You only have to book your return flight to Adelaide!  Leave the rest to us!
